The ASC Appointment Notice specifies where and when the biometrics will be taken. It looks like a Friday afternoon, which is good. Very few people will want to be there and will probably try to reschedule. The other options are Wednesday or Saturday afternoon. As was specified on the previous Notice of Action, the appointment notice and a photo ID are required.
This looks serious: “If you fail to appear as scheduled, your application will be considered abandoned.” I think we’ll make extra time for commuting.

Received the appointment notice to take biometrics for perminent residency, I-797C. What does it mean? When will I get the greencard?

It means you’re one step closer! The DHS needs your fingerprints and photos. Once those are processed, they’ll send another notice for the interview. If everything goes well at the interview, your passport will be stamped and your green card will be mailed to you. Good luck and welcome to the United States of America.

I made an infopass to get status on my case and spoke with INS officer he mentioned that they had sent a I-797C notice letter asking for more evidence. Which I have never received. Where can I send a written letter asking for them to re-send it?

we received the 1-797c ASC appointment notice last july; apparently, i, the father, Domingo L. Sagun made a request for rescheduling because my daughter is in the philippines and studying at the Far Eastern University, Manila. .. but up to now, i have not received any response from your office. at present, my daughter is here at Houston, texas and will be back by nov. 7 to the philippines.could you please schedule her for the biometrics before she leaves the state. we live just closer to Fondren where the Immigration support center is…. can we just go there and have her biometrics in that office ?
Thank you for you’re consideration ,Mary

for 1-797c ASC appointment notice, you can just take your 1-797c notice to your local ASC and get the fingerprint done there. Go on wednesday since it is only one walking day for ASC. And send mail to them to notified that you have done your fingerprint at another location. You can also do fingerprint before the date scheduled if you walk in on wednesday and they have time to do it for you.

im recently on maui, hawaii. i’ve received my notice of action from salt lake city, where my sponsors at, were still trying to get there.
it says that i should hear from them within 30 days starting from the 19 of november 2008.
the problem is i keep calling my sponsor but i could not get in touch with them and i need to know whether you’ve sent my green cards over or no.
